Surrounded
by some of South Africa’s most dramatic views, cliffs and ancient indigenous
forest, THE EDGE is a peaceful mountain retreat with 10 acres of beautiful
gardens filled with azaleas, rhododendrons, secret pathways, a formal walled
rose garden, and an enchanting Labyrinth. View-sites along the edge of the cliff
are the perfect spots for sundowners and sunsets! Tea Thyme, our cozy, informal
restaurant in the garden, offers breakfasts, light lunches, delicious evening
meals, as well as teas and coffee, yummy homemade cakes and scones with thick
farm cream! On those cold and snowy days, hot chocolate and gluwhein is served
in front of the log fire!
All
our cottages and thatched rondavels have lots and lots of character, are
luxuriously appointed, have cozy log fire places, feather duvets, and are fully
equipped for self-catering. Those cottages perched close to the edge of the
cliff have spectacular views, even from the comfort of their king-size beds.
Most of our accommodation allows one to gently fall asleep to the sound of the
logs crackling in the fireplace!
The
Edge offers a real “feel good” experience, and we are sure your stay with us

Rates
2009:
Self-catering cottages from R375 to R1100 per
couple per night.
Non self-catering en-suite garden rooms: R300
single or R400 double per night.
